No idea really on the headset, I'm sure there'll be some apps out there that do. I know that the True Caller app can record calls but I haven't tried it yet, I would imagine it would work with a headset but I'm just guessing.

Hi, I haven't tried Twrp yet.
But I noticed that the Nfc sensor doesn't work well (it has a delay of about 10 seconds from scanning and doesn't always read right away). Are there any settings to set? Do you also have this problem? Thank you have a nice day.

Hi, you will have, or should have, downloaded a zip file containing a recovery.img. The recovery.img is the file you need to flash. Then follow the instructions here:

BUT, you also need to flash a vbmeta file BEFORE and AFTER the recovery.img, and I'm still unsure which vbmeta file it is, as elimoviebuff hasn't replied to my question regarding that.

Sorry I dont get on here much until I buy another Cubot phone needing to be rooted. As far as the VBmeta file I just used Magisk to duplicate one directly from the Note 20 as vbmeta is solely responsible for checking initial boot to either enter into boot or in recovery mode. thats why you make sure you flash or restore system with its own vbmeta. As a side note be careful when using any software from untrusted sites they could be corrupted or incomplete

Thanks, what's confusing though is why you have to flash it's own vbmeta before the recovery image. Aren't you just overwriting exactly what's on there already?

from my understanding Magisk patches the Vbmeta as to allow the "New" recovery image to be flashed afterwards. Theres anti flashing software on some of these Mediatek phones that will reject a recovery image/root if it detects any foul play.

I just found out that the ROM of the P50 isnt a global ROM unlike the older Note20. That explains why I cant pickup LTE and my mobile data connection sucks.However Global versions of the P50 are available. So eventually Ill buy another and use this one as a tester phone
