I'd rather get Pixel for that but its exclusive to Verizon.
My plan was to get the upcoming OnePlus device and only upgrade every other year. Lol.
If the LG K7 is your only experience with android, then your missing out. Try a Nexus or the Google Pixel. I promise you those phones are a great experience, especially if you root and install custom roms. It's fun if you're into that kind of stuff.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/leon/development/rom-unofficial-cyanogenmod-12-1-lg-leon-t3166642Hey its me again from youtube. I made my mind up to help compile a rom for the K7 but i have no clue where to start or even what to use, i searched around and im guessing i need Ubuntu and java. Could you help me find my way to the beggining or you know, anything a noob must know. I really want to help and im determined to spare most of my time (i go to school so thats the only time i wont be working on it) because i know many people woukd love to see Cyanogenmod on the K7. Please i ask fir your help
This can help you out with building you just have to change the source code to match the K7. For example metro version is ms330 like the Leon is ms345 so find and replace all mentioned areas of 345 or c50 which you can replace with m1 (K7 codename). Hope this helps.
If you go through the first couple of posts in this thread you'll see what you will need to get started. Ubuntu 14.04 is what I am currently building with but I think it is the latest instructions on how to setup a build environment. A lot of information in the first page of this thread.
