Yes sorry to said that but i had a great experience with android and its time to go back to ios if i get the money
If the LG K7 is your only experience with android, then your missing out. Try a Nexus or the Google Pixel. I promise you those phones are a great experience, especially if you root and install custom roms. It's fun if you're into that kind of stuff.

Ok Im at my wits end. I cannot, for the life of me get my sons LG K7 T mobile variant to boot into bootloader. Ive done the adb command the phone restarts and just boots normally. Ive used kingroot and installed quickboot and gave it root and chose bootloader. Same thing, just restarts normally. ive tried every button combo on startup I could find online. This thing just will not boot into bootloader mode. What am i doing wrong? Oh and yes, Ive enabled USB debugging and OEM Unlock in dev options.

That's a good thing. I was supposed to be getting the ZTE ZMAX PRO but financial crisis popped up so I have to take the XL For now. Also I want to see what new phones are coming out next year.

This can help you out with building you just have to change the source code to match the K7. For example metro version is ms330 like the Leon is ms345 so find and replace all mentioned areas of 345 or c50 which you can replace with m1 (K7 codename). Hope this helps.

Help with setting up a build environment

Thank you so much really but what software do i use and what files do i download? Thanks in advanced

If you go through the first couple of posts in this thread you'll see what you will need to get started. Ubuntu 14.04 is what I am currently building with but I think it is the latest instructions on how to setup a build environment. A lot of information in the first page of this thread.

    TWRP FOR K7 AKA M1
    https://twrp.me/devices/lgk7.html

THIS IS FOR THE METRO PCS AND T-MOBILE VARIANTS

Disclaimer: I am not responsible for what you do to your device. All I can do is try to assist you with whatever issues that you may have due to the flashing of T.W.R.P Recovery. Enjoy.

( As a community we can find issues and bugs and assist me or anyone to fix in future releases.)

    Twrp with button combo.

With device off press and hold power and volume down until LG logo pops up quickly release the power and press power quickly until the factory reset dialog pops up press volume down to yes press power to select than it will show the same dialog with yes already selected use power to select and you will be taken to Twrp recovery.

Another thing is that you have to read and continue to read. You should be rooted and your Bootloader Unlocked before you get here. This a recovery thread not a how can I root thread. Thank you and enjoy. Sincerely Czarsuperstar.

I would like to thank the T.W.R.P. Team for their contributions to the touch screen recovery partition of all android phones. I would like to thank CaptainThrowback as I used his github sources for building with a prebuilt kernel and his MSM8909 board source for the HTC Desire 626s. I would like to thank Starkly_raving for his breakthrough and contributions.
