P9 Releases + Changelog

Just on question @OldDroid - did you may forgot exclude the path /data/hw_init from data wipe?
This was very helpful in the previous version!
We have two persons which installed your new version - they made data wipe and lost system Apps which are stored in this path.
Thanks anyway for your excellent work - but if it is like I said, could you please change this back? :)

this .. this is true, i actually forgot to patch the original source because i switched my manifest -.-'
s*** happens, i will push a corrected version after lineage ;)
Thanks for the tip

EDIT: I'm sorry for the inconvenience but i forgot to exclude the special directory inside the /data partition during wipe/factory reset.
I've re-uploaded the fixed release, so everyone who had already installed 3.1.1-0 should now re-download and re-install.

Best regards

how to know if the fix version is flashed correctly, is there a way to surely check it???
because I flash so many times, with each time, successfully flashed, but without TWRP installed.....
anyway thank's for the work...

Fastboot must print Successfully Flashed with no errors on PC.
Upon flashing:
1) Type: fastboot reboot, but do not press Enter on the PC
2) Press and keep pressing Power and Volume Up on the phone
3) Press Enter on the PC
4) Immediately disconnect USB
5) When phone prints bootihg, release Power but keep pressing Volume Up

If you fail something in the above steps and phone boots to eRecovery, you loose TWRP and you will have to flash it again.
You must boot to TWRP right upon flashing, to preserve it - if you boot to Android or eRecovery, you loose TWRP.

Later, of course, you can reboot to TWRP by Power and Volume Up, or from rooted System by using Reboot application.
But that first time booting to TWRP is crucial

But encryption is not supported yet
So my question is can i flash this twrp and override the one that i have?
Thank you very much

New Release is up! TWRP 3.1.1-1 for Huawei P9 (eva)

Changelog:
* OpenKirin Edition with inbuilt Huawei device specific settings
* /vendor is now mounted by default and cannot be unmounted (unless you disable it in the settings) to prevent installation issues on multiple projects
* limited the backup partitions to /boot, /cache, /data, /system and /vendor to ensure a normal restorable os setup
* system and vendor images can now be flashed directly through TWRP ("System Image", "Vendor Image")

check OP or Github for more information.

Regards

Can i flash img with Flashify App or only via fastboot.?
For Flashify you must already have root installed. To install root, you needed to install TWRP before - but then, if you have TWRP then it is easier to flash new TWRP from TWRP
