yeah..strange things..that Samsung do..lol..and it's all for securityHi and thanks a lot for your work and support!
Just for all other guys who, just like me, had a lot of problems in flashing recovery:
I have tried several times to flash TWRP (in 5.0.2 and now in 5.1.1) and I always had FAIL in ODIN, even managed to brick my phone in the process. Twice. The solution came by reading the OP and deactivating the blocking option at https://findmymobile.samsung.com/account/init.do (Screen Unblock - left down, then Disable blocking or similar). Now I managed to install TWRP, then SU and Kernel, as described.
Thanks!
it passed the odin flash and supposed to have TWRP on my device...but when i try to fo into the TWRP with volume up+power+home it goes to recovery 3eif so just change it in the Samsung account..details in the post I linked..

look hereYes, indeed. Now I got a warning from Knox saying that unauthorised actions have taken place on my device.![]()
good.. nice to hear it worksFlashed the new TWRP 2.8.7.1 and all is well and working fine with my G925F.
Flashed root and the kernel and Android 5.1.1 is running great.
Thanks for your help Alex-V.
OTG works finally but it is still 5 times faster to save backups to the internal storage. OTG is handy when saving internal storage.
Hi Alex, could you confirm if private folder would work? i read a few pages back , someone was complaining about it.good.. nice to hear it works![]()
sorry. but that's a problem since 5.0.2 and root..if there's a fix.. let me know..if i hear some things also will let you knowHi Alex, could you confirm if private folder would work? i read a few pages back , someone was complaining about it.
could you confirm please?
Thanks
while the cf autoroot thread and also the older recovery thread gets some questions that don't have anything to do with the thread I make this thread
OK...here it is: only for people with 5.1.1 G925F (should work with 5.0.2 F also) the G925I seems also fine
be sure to copy my kernel zip and also the super su zip to sdcard (phone) before you flash the recovery via odin, otherwise you got bootloop (because of system write protection-new with 5.1.1)
Kernel (flash with twrp) : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347765201
Super SU (flash with twrp) : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347765203
and TWRP 2.8.7.1 (flash with ODIN) : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347765202
after all that you get the normal system warning (the old one also on 5.0.2) delete Securitylogagent and reboot

how to on this post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=61576005
based on 5.1.1hi
does your kernel for root of G925F (alex kernel 1.2) is based on latest 5.1.1 kernel or its on old kernel ?
and if its can i know what do you change in it ?
thx alotbased on 5.1.1
?Thank you Alex-V for this nice method. Succesfully rooted my stock 5.1.1 version. Can I simply flash a custom rom now that TWRP is working again?
I want to flash Echoe rom V4 (5.1.1 based on BOFJ), but I have the newest BL. If I factory reset my phone using TWRP and I flash a custom rom based on 5.1.1. Will my phone boot or will this end in a bootloop? The the rom comes with it own custom Kernel (AEL 5.1.1).
