it can be that the older kernel have a patch or so to work with dual boot..there's nothing i can do ATM..maybe if I'm back from holiday..i don't have even internet here..only E (edge) on phone..lol..must be on the trwp sources i think..or the man who created the dual boot..if so it can be easy done through a commit i think..BTW i never used 2 systems

I am using a 925T (T-Mobile) ...anyone test 2.8.7.1 on this model?

I am running 5.0.2 (xtrestorlite 1.5) and unikernel ATM.
if you are on 5.0.2 than you need only the recovery..if the recovery fail..you can flash again your version you had before ...using Odin..so you can check than in max 10 min ?

BTW..i don't now.... ?

I can confirm that this works on G925I (5.1.1 ) too.

I flashed G925FXXU2BOFJ 5.1.1 Build on my G925I & Yeah it boots successfully and I'm using it B)
@Alex-V : Great work mate. Happy Holidays !

you must flash your firmware again to unroot.. also if you have the original recovery and kernel..the system (as 5.1.1 have system security) will take notice of the root files and won't boot.. but you don't need to wipe if you flash your firmware again

you can do nothing..since this kernel remove parts of the system write protection / security.. without this kernel you won't able to boot.. this kernel is not heavily patched..most is memory and CPU optimizing..you can also use other kernels based on 5.1.1 for example simple kernel

Alex, quick question. I have my self a G920W8 and the newer version from BigBiff, 2.8.7.1 zeroflte works flawlessly on my phone. Would your TWRP works on the G925W8 aswell?

you must try i only can say i have an f and it works..on the i it works also..the kernel i use in the recovery is a f version..if your on 5.1.1 try a unified kernel like simple kernel..if your on 5.0.2 you only need the recovery and you know it don't take long to flash and you can easily back to the other version..so try and let me know ?
