vbmeta.img is a secure check against installing non-Samsung software. You need to disable it to install TWRP. Ignore error as long as TWRP installs.I got secure check fail : vbmeta.img error on t297. What's the problem? What should i do to patch mine?
I mean what's the purpose of patching vbmeta?
You are on bootloader v4. You cannot root device. Also, you cannot go down to V3.can i root a device with a build number and baseband version of T295XXS4CUG4 (android 11)?

I tried to intall twrd using odin and it says pass on odin but says "secure check fail: vbmeta" on the device and i cant enter the twrp screen
how do you know what version of bootloader you have? You are on bootloader v4. You cannot root device. Also, you cannot go down to V3.
Ex: T295CZCU4CUK5....5th character from right = 4 = v4 bootloader

Check your bootloader version. If it is 4, you cannot install TWRP, and you cannot downgrade bootloader. To the Instructions:
1. I´ve got the SM-T295 with Android 11 on it. I've just today freshed the firmware up, with Odin and Frija. Should I also flash BL 9, like you have written?
Can somebody who did it right and it worked help by "From the pushing of the first Key 'til the loaded TWRP ?
It hardly doesn't work, by me.
Will work on it tomorrow
Samsung's DEFEX is getting in your way of full root I'd assume because magisk has been treble compatible for awhile if I've not mistaken.I'm looking to buy an SM-T295 soon. I'll liberate you all with a custom kernel which will allow full root on the latest OneUI for this device!
Where is it? see image.
