I have a sprint g3 that is rooted and running twrp 2.8.0.0. I am trying to update to the latest recovery version. I downloaded Goo Manager from the play store and when I click on install openrecoveryscript, it says unable to find a recovery for your device. I know the latest version is 2.8.0.1. I tried going to twrp website but could not find it there either. With Goo manager, I installed from the play store but when I go to google play and do a search for goo manager, goo manager does not come up. I also checked in my All apps and goo manager is not listed, this is very weird. I was going to uninstall, then reinstall but goo manager is not in the play store. Anyone have any suggestions??

After doing some extensive research, apparently the goo servers are down for service. Does anyone have the updated version 2.8.0.1 of twrp for the sprint g3 that I could upload, thanks.

Look in the original Dev section. There's a 2.8.2.0 version (I believe) and it's flashable in recovery. No need for goo manager. I'm not even sure if one you got from too would be properly bumped.

Have a question, I see version 2.8.4 is out. I went to the twrp website, it said I could download and install through twrp manager which I already have installed. I downloaded from that app but then this window came up and I am unsure about. I will try to post a screenshot.
Also, I am on a spring LG g3. How do I know if this twrp is bumped or not?
I don't want to brick my phone and it said if I'm on the wrong partition, I would brick it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It will not brick your device. Partition is correct. If it s not bumped you cant access recovery that s all.

Thanks, I flashed through twrp manager and all appears good. I don't know if you know anything about live backup in twrp manager but I did a backup from twrp manager and it only backed up two files, just data and system which I thought was weird. Live backup does a backup without booting into recovery so you can still do things on your phone while its still running. When I do a backup via recovery, there are usually about 10 or so files when it gets done. But when done with live backup, there are only 2 files?? Anyone have any suggestions on this? I paid to get live backup through twrp manager so I would like to use if at all possible.

Just curious, I thought if you installed TWRP thru TWRP Manager - that it only installs TWRP and not BUMP along with it.

I was under the impression that TWRP and BUMP were installed together if you used Flashify.

How do I tell if I have BUMP installed? Is there an app like Bump Checker (i.e., Root Checker) - I ask, because I can get into recovery - does that mean I am BUMPED?

Thanks!

If TWRP is working for you then you're good.
Only install TWRP's from this forum to be safe.
