As I stated in the header, TWRP won't accept encryption password on Oreo 8.1

I did a factory reset to make sure I had the correct password PIN and I do, still when going to TWRP it states my password is incorrect for encryption

Any ideas?

Know issue on 8.1, the fix will require an update from TWRP. Two options.

Remove your PIN password finger print from settings before you boot to TWRP and put it back when done.

Or copy the files you want to flash to a USB drive. Hook it to the phone with the adapter that came with the phone. In TWRP hit cancel instead of entering a password and then hit install. Then hit select storage and select the USB.

I was looking for this info for the last week and was about 30 seconds from flashing stock and/or formatting data.

what if i am unable to select USB within twrp. it shows all my storage as 0
Are you sure you are on the latest version of TWRP? The most recent TWRP updates have resolved the issues with encryption that were initially present on 8.1. I have successfully decrypted with TWRP on 8.1 for the past several monthly security updates.

Hi Friends!
I'm using LineageOS 15.1/Oreo 8.1 on Samsung S3 Neo (i9301i) and my TWRP (3.2.3-0) is not able to decrypt phone and microsd filesystem (ext4),
do you have any suggestion?
I've found here a TWRP that seems compatible, what do you think about?
On twrp.me the device seems lose

Thanks!
This is the Pixel XL forum. You should post your question on the Samsung forum or lineage 15.1 thread for Samsung. :)
