Your are not booting it 'the new way'. You can:
Power down the device without usb, power+vol- if you have an upgraded bootloader.
Use volume rocker at light bringup (vol- & vol+ are bringing different recoveries!)
If still don"t work ask your rom maintainer how the FOTAKernel partition is booted and highlight me.

Hi!

When I download the latest flashable zip from here, the filename is: twrp_z3_2017-07-23.zip

This filename does not really match to the release 2017-07-27 Single announced in the first post.
The md5 hash does match, though.

Question:
Is file "twrp_z3_2017-07-23.zip" the latest release?

Yeah it is don't worry.

I think the priority has been the building of TWRP rather than the post.
That build was probably released on 27th but actually built on 23rd and then tested for a few days.

Good catch.

You are totally right. Mostly we build test, etc... then day is over, so I released as soon as I get enough time.
Not the first time someone report this so will try to change the release process, maybe release date into thread title and build date in download section.

Also some info 3 or 4 post earlier.

What is the different between the Single and Dual zips?
I'm little bit confusing and don't want to risk that i take the wrong zip.

New release, lots of changes!
This is built from omni trees (autonomous volunteer still needed for omni debugging ;)) and there is problems with device codename: expect 'error 7' while flashing some zips.
If that happens tell your rom maintainer to add 'leo' on the OTA_PACKAGE device list (should be ok for lineage).
This is a totally reworked twrp, encryption support still here.
Some pending fix on twrp are included.
Do not use adb backups, they are broken!

New sources are not hidden but not on temporary gerrits/gits. Pm if you need them before official releases.

Upgrade is not needed if the old one is working successfully for you.

Hey Guys i have the following problem if i want to flash the twrp_z3_2017-07-23.zip.

I become always the error "twrp error executing updater binary" if i want to flash the zip through my twrp. I use the the twrp 2.8.0 from monxDIFIED and the Carbon Rom 5.1 (Android 7.1.2). I have the D6603 Model.
So have somebody a idea what the error means and how i can solved it?
