I was expecting much better trade in value. Last year Samsung offered $1000 for an S21U in good condition.Just ordered the 512gb U.S. Unlocked for $1,199 with free upgrade to 512gb. $500 trade in for the S22U and $150 in store credit.
You get an upgrade to 512gb for $1,199 which is what the 256gb model will cost after pre-order is over. So your basically saving $180.00 there as the 512gb model will be $1379.00. So you are really saving $500 Tradein +$180 Upgrade +$150 Store Credit = $830 in savings by preordering.I was expecting much better trade in value. Last year Samsung offered $1000 for an S21U in good condition.
During the past week there were several emails saying that we would be able to get the S23U for only $330 with a trade in. Even trading in a Z Fold 4 doesn’t provide a trade in price this low, what a disappointment!this is a joke! 500$ trade in for s22 ultra, after the trade in, i still have to pay 827$ with taxes. i rather pay 827$ and get iphone14 and still keeping my s22 ultra !
They said "oh try again in a few days" but I'm sure this 15% off on Rakuten won't be there so they basically just lost the sale entirely seeing how they won't take a Pixel 7 Pro for trade in either.
Oh it's hilarious. My Rakuten pending cash back is at $1080 because of all these failures.originally ordered at samsung dot com with s22ultra trade in, still have to pay 827$ with taxes. not worth it so i cancel the order.
then ordered it again using Ratuten app on s22ultra, using PayPal checkout. order placed. Rakuten shows pending 105$ cashback pending.
I am thinking about that deal... I would have to open up a new prepaid eSIM to port to Fi but doesn't Fi have some rule about not using the phone anywhere else for the 120 days or you forfeit the discount? I don't know that I could have a new phone for 4 months that I wouldn't be able to use lolyeah I`m with GoogleFI and I preordered through there, 600.00 instant discount and free upgrade to 512gb storage for the same price as the 256gb just like what samsung doing on there webiste, all I have too do is keep it activate on GooglefF for 120 days, so it was $635.99 total for the 512gb green color.
Yes it needs to be on GoogleFi for 120 daysI am thinking about that deal... I mean I would keep Fi for that time. I just can't go without at least using the eSIM on my main Tello line. Or maybe I can carry two phones but that's a pain.
How do Rakuten cashbacks work? They email a check to your billing address? I'm wondering because I'm from the US.Rakuten is offering a whopping 15% on phones at Samsung.com. That's a whopping $180 back on a $1200 purchase.

Mine was $760 total after Trade in and paying $16 extra for the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro on top of the $150 store credit. After I sell the Buds 2 pro l'll only end up paying $660 total for the 512gb model which aint too bad. Don't need the buds cause I am deaf but it was best way to use the full $150 store credit.this is a joke! 500$ trade in for s22 ultra, after the trade in, i still have to pay 827$ with taxes. i rather pay 827$ and get iphone14 and still keeping my s22 ultra !
I was trying tonight and I couldn't get any where with Samsung. I kept having issues at the trade in screen. Sometimes it would give me a $500 trade in or a $1000 trade in for my s22 ultra. Finally, I gave up and went to T-Mobile and also on there website I was running into issues when I got to the insurance, and I was only offered $500 trade in.Anyone else having a hell of a time ordering? They keep canceling my order. I have tried a Samsung Financing account and my Discover card. In both cases, the payment goes through, and then Samsung just cancels it. I've been back and forth with support for over an hour trying to troubleshoot the TD Bank issue and finally tried my Discover and they just canceled it again.
Never in my life have I had a company give me so many problems when trying to give them money. I've tried updating my Samsung profile with the same info as well. It doesn't make any sense that they're even canceling an order that Discover approved.
What a joke.

You tie a PayPal account to Rakuten to get an automatic payout or they'll send you a physical check. It's quarterly I believe. How do Rakuten cashbacks work? They email a check to your billing address? I'm wondering because I'm from the US.
Same thing happened to me, i complain to samsung. The rep removed the chargeback for meWell apparently Samsung sent me an email that was intended for somebody else. I knew something was wrong because the phone arrived at the Warehouse and 4 hours later they saying they inspected it already. Then just 20 min ago i got a second email saying they recieved it and I would know the result in 3-7 days. Sigh. So all that stress for nothing probably.
Happy happy day, I am in possession of my new device. It was left about five houses down from mine.Well that's pretty awesome on Samsung's part. That is certainly far less hassle than I would have expected and I hope you left a compliment for the rep that did that because that's almost certainly them taking ownership and going above and beyond for you. Very nice.
I never used it before. Maybe I should cancel my order and use rakuten ( I bought from Samsung directly).
The thing that bothers me is it says "up to 15%".
Why not just say 15? Cause up to means it could be from one up to 15 so how is the actual amount determined?
