Not sure why people have so many problems ordering. I do it every year and it works first time with same card every year. I always do a trade in and its always in pristine condition so I guess they know me well and hence I never have any issues. But I am sure there are a lot of security protocols that could complicate things. Like if your credit card doesn't match the address you want to ship to. They mostly want Fedex to deliver only to your house and the address on the credit card to avoid fraud. They also need a signature and are not going to deliver to any P.O. Boxes. Other things that might affect orders would be your credit history and scores. If you are trying to finance a phone and your credit history is showing a bunch of late payments that could affect things also. But mostly I think it's about identiy and location and confirming you are who you say you are. I have lived in the same address for 13 years so they definitely know I am legit.
Credit card matches the address for delivery and it was booting the order even when I chose pick up at Best Buy which is basically the safest way for them since the store will verify my ID in person.
I've got no late payments and a 13 year long credit history with FICO scores in the high 700s (one of my mortgage scores is 729 but the rest of my scores are between 750-829) so it's definitely not my credit report. Plus I was instantly approved for $4200 with Samsung Financing when I was placing the order the first time and Samsung still canceled the order.
I think it's just something with my Samsung account. I haven't had a Samsung product since the Note 5 in 2015 and my Samsung profile was showing numerous fields as null when I checked it. Unfortunately fixing it didn't fix the problem.
It's been hours now though and no cancelation notice so it seems the 11th time was the charm, as absurd it is to say that.
The Rakuten $180 is pending too and I still got my free year of Samsung Care+ with the $100 credit so all's well that ends well, I guess.
