HOW TO INSTALL EASILY TO FOTA :
* (Optional) : Download the TWRP bootimage and flash it to boot
fastboot flash boot twrpfilename.img
* Boot to recovery : Enter the Recovery as usual
* Flash to FOTA : Install the TWRP FOTA zip
* (Optional) : Flash the ROM you want



HOW TO INSTALL MANUALLY TO FOTA :
* Bootimage : Download the TWRP bootimage you want to flash
* File storage : Adapt the path and push the file to the device this way :

adb root
adb wait-for-device
adb push FullPathToTheRecovery.img /tmp/twrp.img

* Flash : Extract the TWRP image to the FOTA partition

adb shell dd if=/tmp/twrp.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/FOTAKernel

* Reboot to recovery : adb reboot recovery

Yes, this TWRP should work without problems on kitkat.

This is not kernel, it's only recovery image for FOTA partition

Succesfully flashed the twrp-3.2.1-0-yuga.zip in 3.1.0 recovery.
Installed los 14.1 and gapps successfully and backed up userdata before that, but didnt test much.

TWRP keeps rebooting for me. never had this issue.
Any suggestions?

Os boots perfectly so downloaded TWRP app and the same ISO file and flashed it from the app.
Now it doesn't crash or reboots into TWRP.

I used the TWRP Manager app to download and install the latest img and flash BUT it has screwed my phone. It looks like the original Sony recovery is now all that is there. I can't reboot into bootloader, I get a blank screen with a blue LED.

I did the adb push in FOTAKernel but my recovery is still broken. How do I adb push into the main bootloader?

Although recovery is in FOTAKernel and I can boot into the touch screen isnt responding. I am unable to choose anything or unlock it when it locks.

Now I have done the step:
fastboot flash boot twrp3.0.2.img

My phone is alway in TWRP mode after restart.

In HOW TO INSTALL EASILY TO FOTA :

1. When can TWRP 3.0.2 FOTA zip be found?
2. In which partition shall it be flashed in TWAP? It seems that I can only see boot partition in TWRP.

Why are you installing the old 3.0?
Take the current 3.2.2 and your problem will be solved.

Hi, I have installed the 3.0, because in this post it says that in the Xperia Z (Yuga) in the versions of android 5.0 and 5.1.1 TWRP is not compatible as of version 3.2.1.0.

my phone won't turn on.

whenever i switch on my phone it get stuck on the animation waves..come back to restart and then it repeats until i rip my battery off of my phone. i know companion can repair my phone. but all the will be lost with that process.
so if anybody can help me with this thing. and i can get my data without losing it.
advice would be most appreciated.
