Got it Compiling NOW!!!!!!!!!!

what a pain in the ass setting up things though.

Sorry about all the script mess im only 1 tester and when it takes an hour to transfer the image to sdcard doesnt leave much time for debugging,
not to mention im not a linux programmer (yet)

mwielgosz: thanks for the help
How did it turn out? I will second the fact that the long transfer of the image makes debugging a PITA but unless you get android running in a vm on Linux (which is definitely possible), it's all one can do.

This is a great work!
It would be better(and faster I think) if it would work native without a remote-viewer and maybe without running android.

Looks good to me. :) I love Linux. I'll have to set up a dual boot on my phone with an aosp Rom so I can run this. Will a ext3 partition on SD card conflict with this? Technically the Rom won't be accessing it, it'll just be there and inactive since my main Rom is the one that accesses it.

the download has a "zipx" extension.

I did a little googling and it looks like that is winzips new default compression method, and the only way to open the archive is with winzip, bitzipper, pkzip, or a couple of others. none of the compression utilities I typically use (7zip on Windows, unarchiver on mac) seem to support it.

Edit: sorry if I sound unappreciative, I just think its funny to use a proprietary closed format for distribution of software that is all about open software and formats. I'm currently trying to find something that will open this on the mac without being a scummy trial, or ill just do it on a pc.
Ahh makes sense now. I was unzipping with 7zip and couldnt figure out why i could not see ubuntu.sh or any other files and it took soo long to unzip. Using winzip was the answer. Thanks man!
