I'm not sure I'm following here. You synced jellybean instead of cm10.1 right ? Where github tells me commit stopped 2 months ago.

So how are you booting with new mali drivers ?

I'm syncing from scratch now, so I'll try to build it in about an hour or two.
Good luck! :p

How far are you from a stable version? If you have to guess? I mean.. are you getting really close, or is it a long way to go? barely can't wait! To bad I don't have any skills when it comes to this stuff, so I can't help :/

This a dev build, so we are far away from a stable build ;)

ATM its not usable , cause of font issue and no wifi/GSM and its laggy.
But if we fix this, it will still not usable, cause a lot oft features are missing.

Booted. But it's pretty much useless until we get this font thing sorted.

I somehow managed to get to homescreen, but I don't know how.:p
well, im not an programmer nor do I have experience with Ubuntu but it looks almost like the OS doesnt reconize the right DPI for the font.

I've read somewhere about a file that should be changed when the phone runs on xhdpi. I guess. Lol. I'm really sleepy now.

So, what works on your version?

Have you managed to test WiFi and calls?

As i said, the afterflash.zip needs to be changed for dpi, this should fix the font issue

You must be joking. This is a pre-pre-pre-alpha build where everything is broken. We are lucky to get it to boot.

Dont take me for an idiot :) what I meant was a stable alpha beta, not a full functional mobile os. So what I mean by stable is that you can navigate around and do some basic things. I said "stable", not "fully functional" ;)

Gerrett, they are publishing daily touch preview zips here: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-touch-preview/daily-preinstalled/current/

I'll try to flash their 20130227 zip now, and after that afterflash.zip modified like this:

Code:
elif [ "$device" == "n7000" ]; then
    services="/etc/tablet-services"
    grep -q GRID_UNIT_PX /home/phablet/.bashrc
    [ $? -ne 0 ] && echo "export GRID_UNIT_PX=14" >> /home/phablet/.bashrc
    export GRID_UNIT_PX=14
    grep -q QTWEBKIT_DPR /home/phablet/.bashrc
    [ $? -ne 0 ] && echo "export QTWEBKIT_DPR=1.3" >> /home/phablet/.bashrc
    export QTWEBKIT_DPR=1.3
    export FORM_FACTOR="tablet"
Chas is this your tattooed hand?

Nah, afterflash thing didn't help, font is still b0rked and it's damn hard to get past that "Walked 3 kms" ring.

I got to homescreen eventually, but navigation is a huge broplem™. I tested the camera (shooting pictures works, taking videos doesn't)
and didn't know how to get back to the homescreen. In the end I had to reboob and struggle again with that @#$%! language selction (I assume
that's what it is at lockscreen).

Transitions are a bit choppy and there's no wifi, or at least I couldn't find where to enter the password for my router. Also, there's no sign of
that left hand side app ribbon (like GYF or Unity launcher).

But it looks nice, I can tell you that.:)

I'll upload a short video to Youboob soon.

Hey chas,
I would like to try this thing now though its not stable.Can you please share me a link to download this?I do agree its not stable,daily driver and has no features. I do agree that Im responsible for the mistakes at flashing process and I have experience to fix isuues if anything occurs by chance.

I would be happy no a instruction to flash the zips as I have read there is 2 zips needed to be flashed.thank you.
