Its just looks straight up ugly to me. It looks like plastic. Way too big for its screen size. Compare ot to even S7Edge its almost smaller in every dimension. The back is just bad looking no two ways about it to me.

The software still looks horrible, and they removed what many useful features (dual window, app drawer, etc...)

Battery is pretty bad, i dont need to repace my battery if it lasts all day.

To me, this entire phone is ignoring real issues with smartphones and introducing a bunch of niche gimmicky features.

The s7edge just delivered on every issue a phone ever had. So yeah S7Edge for me

I've 'upgraded' from the LG G3 to the Moto X Style and swear to god I could not be happier. It's beautiful in its simplicity (rubber and glass), has a superb camera (with super fast burst mode, focusing and great quality in low light) and front facing speakers (which may not be quite B&O quality but I don't have to carry around a £150 accessory).

I completely agree with you on the G5. My Moto X has a battery that can last the day and if I do happen to need more just it has TurboPower fast charge (similar to QuickCharge 2.0) so I just plug it in and 15 mins later I'm pretty much full again.

I guess leather backs weren't the cash cow (no pun intended) they had hoped for (I remember the mass hype over the G4 when it was announced and now it's like the whatnow?). They obviously got over excited at LG HQ when someone came up with the idea of bottom changing and thought "Hey, who gives a sh-t about the rest of the phone, just make it one of those generic iPhone/ZTE/Xiaomi clones and we'll concentrate on fleecing people with useless accessories!"

pretty much, they didn't even consider the idea of adding something to the design of the phone, instead they focused solely on "friends", the most cringe worthy statement since samsungs S4 presentation.

The moto X is the only sub 400$ smartphone to have OP2 is absolutely the worst, and if you get a faulty unit, you might as well forget about your money.

Yeah I was going to get the Force but the only real improvements over the Style were bigger battery, faster processor and wireless charging.

I got my Style for £200 (just short of $300). The Force is more than twice the price. The processor on the Style is keeping up with everything I do. The battery holds its charge well and I can live without wireless charging.

I can't believe the OP2 doesn't even have NFC.

now that the phone is actually out, im going to wait for more reviews and a refurbished option to come out on AT&T. I actually like the design of the G5. I dont mind the design as much because im not one of those people who dont use cases. I will probably get a good looking case and just keep the case on. also the volume keys on the side is nice. no accidental screenshots. I admit booting into TWRP will be a pain in the ass.

For me it was always camera mode that kept activating. I'd put the phone in my pocket and somehow must have kept knocking the power button.

I've noticed with the G3 and G4 that there are subforums on here for all the different US carriers. Is the hardware/firmware any different in these models or something?

Sorry if it's a bit of a dumb question. Over here in the UK most phones will work on any network (carrier) providing it is unlocked. Some networks offer free unlocking after your contract but others charge an admin fee.

One of the only notable exceptions was the iPhone 5 which launched at the same time as 4G here (LTE). EE (a merger of Orange and T-Mobile) were the only network to offer LTE on a specific band so when the other networks were awarded their frequencies they were outside of that band and as a result the iPhone5 could only get 3G or 3.5G (HSPA+)

Currently, my dream phone would be:

- LG G3 size (G4 got just too big enough to require my hand to do a shuffle to reach the top opposite corner)
- LG G4 leather backplate options (with the NFC/Qi wireless sticker that's like $10 on ebay)
- LG G3 bezels (G4 got bigger bezels, WTF?)
- Stainless steel instead of plastic chrome on the edges
- LG V10 fingerprint scanner and volume rockers all on the back
- LG G4 camera quality
- USB-C for the rare occasion you want to transfer large files fast or charge it faster than Qi.
- Much more powerful IR blaster
- Swappable battery and microSD card, of course (like all previous LG G's)
- Stock Android (not likely, but hey dreamphone)
If one day you find a dreamphone like that you want. Please tell me ,I will buy one.Ha ha:good:

I thought you could remove the chin right? So no worries. There will probably be 3rd parties making different colored chins if LG isn't going to do it.
