So, having been to the Stratford store this weekend the kind of good news is that they think they will be stocking the 3G version sometime next month. The bad news is that they have no idea when or if they will be stocking the 32GB versions. I got the same answer I had before. Samsung haven't decided if the demand is there or not (or something like that). Very disappointed. Will start a seperate thread on 32GB avialability and import costs to see where I can find one to ship here to the UK.
[edit] It annoys me, the assumption that people wont want to store more than 9GB worth of apps on there device at any one time. Their argument being that the device is expandable due to the SD card slot. Thats all well and good for media, but it doesnt change the fact that your limited to what you can store on your device. I'm going on holiday for 2 weeks soon. My non gaming apps take up about 2GB leaving me with 7GB for games. By the time ive installed HORN, Galaxy on Fire 2, Real Racing and few other small games I will be at my limit. I like variety though, I dont know what ill be in the mood for.
Samsung have even been on watchdog last week with regards to their advertised storage capacity vs what is actually available to the user. While I agree with Samsung that 16GB is 16GB regardless of how much room the OS takes. With all the "bloatware" (Watchdog's words, not mine, I find some of the additions genuinely useful) your left with only 2/3 of that space. Surely the fact that they are getting enough complaints to warant including it on the programme shows that there is demand for higher capacity units.
