Remember that there is no direct recovery boot (Volume Up + Power), and if you flash the recovery it gets overwritten every time you reboot the device. Check post #18 for more information.
Root:
insecure boot image <= Required otherwise you won't be able to use root permissions and you will lose recovery access on reboot
