Why you didn't make the procedure not by hand out of the shell?
I prefer to see what's happen if I make an OP on an open heart.
There are only 2 commands : One to unlock the bootloader and after complete reboot the the Device into the normal operation Mode and boot once again into the bootloader to flash TWRP

Hi y'll. I got a nexus 7 2013 running 6..0.1 marshmellow. I wanted to root it since I got it but couldn't find anything online that worked. Long story short... I came across a video on YouTube. The video said to download elementalX kernel exe and supersu exe. I rebooted into twrp mode.. Installed elementalx.. Backspaced to install supersu then rebooted. Opened root checker and BAM I had root and it didn't wipe my data. Not bad for a noob. I just thought I would pass this on to maybe help another struggling noob like me. Now my journey begins.
