Yet Another Umi ...
It seems that P10 is really cheap and good for all line-up

I thinks that this new Umi Plus is not really needed at the moment.. with Max and Super there is no space for another abandoned device..

worth to buy?
do not own any Umi phone yet.
any major problem with other phone which you own?
It's a good question sir...
I owned many Umi devices and latest Super and Max (that is a Super with very few modifications and lower specs) are very good if compared to the old devices.
Umi is really a strange company, they push on the price, advertisement and model change every few months... On the other hand, the abandoned Umi Touch, Iron and so on, need to be taken into account if you hope for a long term support.
Btw, Umi promises to have Android 7 on their new P10 devices, so at least one mayor update will arrive next year.

Both devices uses same chipset. Plus is underclocked.

How is Super's camera quality?
Super has a bit more pixel then Plus.

for less than 200 € it worth .. but as always with the Chinese devices is a "wheel of fortune"!

For sure, the first devices will come out, are "prototypes" .. so it will be better to wait first reviews
Thank you for the advice.
I will wait then.

UMi Plus’ Home Button Hides one of the Best Fingerprint Scanners on the Market!

Recently, we have seen the resurfacing of the physical home button in many smartphones: while in some cases it’s just an aesthetical choice, in many others it’s because nowadays technology allows to introduce quite some useful features under it, and the one in UMi Plus falls in this category.

The physical home button just works like you are used to: a long press opens recent apps, while a slight touch brings you back to the home screen. But the real strong point of the physical key is the embedded fingerprint sensor, one of the fastest and more accurate in the sector.

The Fingerprint sensor used on UMi Plus is included into the home button for an easy and fast usage: it has an outstanding reliability, while being the fastest in its class. It's enough to press gently on the sensor for 0.1s and the smartphone will immediately unlock itself, more convenient and faster than using patterns or pass codes. A dedicated Chip encrypts and stores your fingerprints in a totally safe way, no one can access them, for maximum security.

UMi explains why the Plus has been called the "budget flagship" by showing a real-life usage comparison with OnePlus 3

We have seen how, in recent years, chinese smartphones managed to offer an unmatched price-performance ratio: this is what allowed many manufacturers to become international players in just a few years.
Until a few years ago, it was just unimaginable to have a premium product able to give a no compromise experience around the 200$ mark, but nowadays it’s possible to get some nicely crafted products like the brand new UMi Plus, able to satisfy even the most demanding users.

We have often read that UMi refers to its product as the “budget flagship”, because it brings a lot of flagship-grade specs into a product with a very affordable price tag: a full metal body, a Sharp display, a huge 4000mAh battery made with Sony cells and quick charge support, an Octa Core 4G Processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB ROM, a 13MP Samsung camera with manual controls and many other nice features and specifications.

But since specifications are only part of the picture, today UMi shows us a video of some real-life performance tests of the UMi Plus, to see how its product performs in the most common tasks people use the phone for and not only on the usual benchmarks.

UMi used one of the most appreciated Flagships of the moment, the Oneplus 3, as a reference to show how its smartphone performs in comparison to a top product.
In this test, the speed on opening the apps and connectivity speed are evaluated.

Very often, benchmarks are used to classify and choose our phone, but real usage, the most important thing, is overlooked most of the time, here we can see how the UMi Plus manages to go head to head with Oneplus 3 despite having 2 GB less of RAM, even outmatching it on the wifi test.

A mix between Super and Touch models..

Only concerns about engraved type-c port

I don't know why they design in that way, only few adaptors and cables fits correctly, the others don't go inside and make stable connection for charge and data trasfer [emoji33] [emoji25]
