I don't know why they design in that way, only few adaptors and cables fits correctly, the others don't go inside and make stable connection for charge and data trasfer [emoji33] [emoji25]

Camera is only a little bit better than the one on Umi Max and Super. Battery in this first charge seems to be only average.
Gsam battery monitor expects more or less 5 hours of S. O. T. in mixed use 70% 4G, 30% wifi.

Is anyone able to advise how to flash the UMI Plus Android N rom provided in their beta testers group?

I can't seem to get the mediatek drivers installed properly so i can flash with SP Flash Tools on windows 10 x64?

When i turn the power off to the UMI Plus & connect it to the computer i can see the device appear in device manager (with exclamation mark) but then it immediately disappears?

You have preloader/VCOM driver issue in windows 10 caused by necessity to put unsigned drivers.

When you turn off and connect to pc, it's normal to see it in the devices, but only for few seconds.. it's preloader phase..

Thanks for the info however i have already followed these steps to install the driver on windows 10 x64 by disabling driver signing.

This is what i'm doing:

• turn phone on & enable usb debugging
• turn phone off
• open sp flash tool (v5.1640)
• select the scatter in the Android N rom provided by http://community.umidigi.com/thread-5099-1-1.html
• uncheck preloader (not sure if this is correct), leave everything else checked
• select download
• connect phone immediately

Once phone is connected nothing happens.

Must i put the phone in download mode or something?

you had driver problems... unfortunately Windows 10 is the bad OS for this operation... :crying:

UMi Plus’ Android N optimization continues, second beta pushed to testers!

Some weeks ago, we received the news that UMi was going to start a beta test program for the Android N release on the UMi Plus, which has the goal to collect the most possible feedbacks from the community in order to better understand what users would like to see in the next major update and to find and address the issues of the Beta software.

Now, we received the news that a second beta was pushed out at here ( http://community.umidigi.com/thread-5206-1-1.html ), which addressed the aforementioned bugs and introduced the Pro-photo mode, like in the Marshmallow version.

The beta test ROM is only available for installing via Flashtool, UMi claimed that experimenting with the system software of your phone may permanently brick it driving to lose your warranty. And retailers are not obligated to deal in warranty with devices ruined by overwriting the system software by the user.

So if you are not experienced users, we recommend you to try it when OTA is pushed.

Try to install stock rom, you need to be in fastboot to make drivers work.
I got the same problems, just need to install all the updates.

Hi. Can you help me in making an App work on Umi plus E without rooting it.
I have an App "securityit" I have been using it on my k3 note. And its best all features of security are included in this package. But now am on Umi plus E, but when I try to install same apk it shows cannot be installed.. plz help me make this app work on my Umi Plus E.
