I have plan to buy it

Umi X2 sports 5 inch full HD display at 441 ppi. Display comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 scratch resistant glass. It also sports dual camera. Rear facing 13 MP camera boasts F2.0 aperture. Possibly, camera module is imported from Sony. It ensures excellent shooting. Front facing 2 MP camera is there as well. Li-ion 2500 mAh battery long hours of usage.

Umi X2 equips 32 GB storage. It’s not sure whether there is micro SD card slot or not. But 32 GB ROM is enough in most occasions. It leaves approx 26 GB. In connectivity segment it has Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi, micro USB, HDMI etc.

my mt6577 one has both sim active at the same time, only 3g can be enabled only on a sim (obvliously or you would get routing errors)

According to gizchina, it is supposed to be sold at 240$. But where do we find a retailer that sells at that price?

240$ for 1080p screen, 2gb ram, 32gb internal memory its not really realistic.
if you find it under or even at 350$ it would be a really good deal.

One remaining question is how will the MT6589 handle 1920x1080p resolutions. I've heard some say the FHD screens are slow, but they were with older dualcore MT6577 chips.

Don't order this phone,wait for confirmations on forum or buyers about phone can be rooted or not
I'm dissapointed with conclusion android 4.1 yellybean (also not know which exactly version installed...) will be hard or imposible to root.

believe me I had even before your answer plan to buy just from chinapadmall site,also I put money on my visa card to buy it with paypal,but I'm afraid about how to disable or delete caivs apk if phone is not rooted,so easy is risk and probably throw away money,also your post about doubt is this really mtk6589 or maybe cheat with 6577 is WARNING for all of us to be reserved about buying this phone. thank you!!!!!!!

the sgx544 in 6589 is A LOT better than the sgx531 in 6577, even if its only the mp1 version.
certainly it wont be as fast as the mp4 version in the latest ipad or adreno 330 from snapdragon 4/800 or other flagships but for a phone that cost less than three hundred bucks what do you can ask for?

From my research lately, the MT6589 is Quadcore, 1.2 Ghz, with SGX 544 GPU, slightly slower than Qualcomm's quadcores, but better value for the money. The MT6589 SoC usually comes together in a package regarding the CPU & GPU. The other specs that are less solid are dimension for each phone, what size & resolution of screens and included RAM/ROM. And exact Android version 4.1.1/4.1.2/4.2.1/4.2.2. They can all change still until people receive units and post reviews.

Just stick with 720, most apps are designed for qHD anyway
