Question Un-bricking my Nord N200

I just downloaded the file from the GDrive link. I am getting a "Data Error" when using 7zip to extract, "Incomplete data" when using Winzip, and WinRAR just hangs when opening the file. What is everybody else using to extract the file?

I then re-downloaded the file a second time, assuming it got corrupted the first time while downloading. But I am getting same errors for the second downloaded file too. The file size is identical in both downloaded files of 3,475,032,475 bytes

@lzgmc can you please share the the MD5 and SHA256 checksums of the file that works for you and which Windows archiver you used?

The file I downloaded has MD5 checksum of bacdf97421c5a2ebc3312be1787cb76c and SHA256 checksum of 726549d053902029bbe23973046f6bc75da4e6a5b12c2ee97910c85f36207890
The md5 for the archive on my computer is bacdf97421c5a2ebc3312be1787cb76c, sha256 is 726549d053902029bbe23973046f6bc75da4e6a5b12c2ee97910c85f36207890
I use Linux, and I was able to extract the archive just fine on my PC with my distro's file manager (after 15 minutes of my CPU being at 100% utilization), but I could see why Windows tools would have problems extracting those archives since .tar.bz2 archives are uncommon outside of Unix/Linux systems. For now, just keep trying to extract the archive and use different programs.

If it helps, I'm on Windows 10 x64, and the version of WinRar that I used to successfully extract the files was v6.01 (64-bit).

Still showing about 2 hours to finish my upload to Mega.

On the plus side for when I'm done uploading, my .7z is only 2.6 GB, which is 0.6-1 GB smaller than the other copies up here so far.

The MD5 and SHA256 matches mine, which confirms that it is an extractor issue. The file on the Gdrive link is good.

I can confirm what @lzgmc shared above - I used bzip2 under Linux and the file decompresses fine. It also explains why Mac users are able to decompress, with MacOS being Unix-based.

In summary,

- for Unix-based systems use bzip2/tar or "tar -xvjf filename.tar.bz2" or any local Linux file manager
-for Windows, user WinRAR even if takes a long time (thanks to @edale1) or WinZip (thanks to @PopCaps1996). 7zip does not seem to work.

Alternately, wait for @edale1 to complete upload of 7zip compatible archive of the tool.

Hey, I wish I could say it worked but after getting all the drivers and stuff set up even then it says my device id doesn't match up

It may be that this is for the t mobile version, and mine is the in-general unlocked version

T-Mobile Variant MSM Tools .7z archive:
I've included a .md5 and .sfv file in the folder to verify the archive after downloading (they just check the .7z, NOT the extracted files).

All basic "I'm not responsible if you brick your phone with this" warnings apply... Even if they're a bit 'closing the barn door after the horse got out' as far as the intended end-users are concerned, lol.

*edit- I created an account on androidfilehost, and requested dev status. Once that clears I'll upload a copy to there as well.

@Gip-Gip Have you contacted Oneplus support? You can get the correct version of the MSMDownload Tool for your version by requesting a remote session to fix your issue, similar to how @lzgmc described in post above. They should then send you a link to the tool for your phone version. If you do, please don't to forget to share the tool for helping others who might be in the same boat!
