As the title says I am trying to Flash Gapps using cwm and I keep getting the status 7 error. I know this is well document and I have searched. Every thread I come across mentions opening the updater-script and removing the lines starting with Assert. I have downloaded a half dozen gapps packages and extracted them but none of them have anything starting with Assert at the beginning of the script. Am i doing something wrong? Is there any other option?

I saw something mentioning editing the build prop but it wasn't clear on what to edit exactly. Any clarification would be really appreciated.

I noticed in another thread you're on Jellybean, is that correct? If so you need to be installing gapps that are compatible with your firmware - that is generally the reason for status 7's. I have a JB gapp package hidden away here; try that and see if it helps.
