Hi guys, I have followed the instruction from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300

I have a problem when doing the step 2 (To INSTALL Recovery - v5.0.0.8)
It doesnt ask for " Do you want to start the update" question while i'm on the bootloader/HBOOT screen..
any idea what is wrong?

For this step---->Copy the PG58IMG file into the Root folder of your SD card (The main Folder of your Memory Card)
Does it means I copy the extracted folder of PG58IMG inside the SD or copy the file inside the PG58IMG to the SD?

Hope to get a favourable reply as I am currently doing it..Thanks

There is a newer version about now: 5.0.2.0 do a search and you'll find it.

Copy the single file PG58IMG.zip file to the SDcard root, it must have that exact name and do not extract any of the contents.

Btw,the root of SDcard doesnt mean a folder with name "Root" on the SDcard rite?

Btw,does the new recovery installation same with the one explained on the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300 article?
Sorry for all those noobs question as I am first timer..
No the Root in this context means the top level of the SDcard, i.e. not in any sub-directories.

Have a look at: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1242942

Get the download from the Red (only in my post) line that says:
Update 05/09/2011: 5.0.2.0: HERE
If you want to flash via Bootloader just put the following file PG58IMG.zip in your SD card : HERE

changelog: fix the fact that some users were loosing root access with 5.0.1.0

Lol, you must have done it while I was typing the last post.

To confirm fully power down the phone, if you're on stock either turn off Fastboot in the settings or just pop the battery out for a few secs.

Then power it back on WHILST still pressing in the Volume Down.

You should end up in the white HTC screen. Then scroll down using the volume +/- and select Recovery with the power button.

It should then pop you into CWM with light blue text. At the top it should say 5.0.2.0.

Before you do anything else, MAKE sure you do a backup of the phone from CWM, also known as a Nandroid Backup.

Btw,How come I feel like the lock screen is not really responsive after i do the s-off and recovery?
The problem is that it is so hard to pull the lock ring up as previously i only need to swipe it up and the ring will jump to the top and unlock the screen..any idea what is wrong?

Glad you're on 5.0.2.0.
What were you planning to do ? The thread was only talking about installing CWM 5.0.0.8
