What is the right way to do it and is it possible to remove that boot warning message.? i'm on stock unrooted firmware.

I tried fastboot oem lock, all goes fine and OKAY, but after reboot it still says Unlocked/Modified.

why is anyone bothering trying to lock bootloader? In for warranty repair or exchange, it will show relocked and is just as bad as unlocked.
I decided to go full stock, and relock bootloader to not see that 5 sec warning on every boot.. This should be easy task so why not.

Also in Europe laws are a bit different, i managed to service two Samsung Knox tripped devices.

That screen will still show up after even relocking bootloader.
U sure? I just had a P9, and that screen did remove after relocking bootloader. it's weird that HTC would made that stay. No reason after relocking bootloader and running official firmware.

Hi, i has the same problem with my U11.
I relock my booloader (in bootloader mode : htc_fastboot oem lock) to not be annoying with that warning message and get the last update (1.27.405.1), but after that it was unable to boot. The warning message become very angry and tells that : "Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and will not boot."

I had to return back to full stock with a RUU zip in RUU mode, because unable to boot to TWRP or to flash any zip in fastboot with a relocked bootloader.

So becareful if you really want to do so.
