unable to make phone calls (dialer crashes)

[h811] a friend is running the 12.23.2015 cyanogenmod nightly (but they are also having the same problem with their restored stock backup). when they try to make a fone call this would pop-up:

process system is not responding

when he hits ok to terminate the screen goes black until he hits the home button.

texting and internet browsing worx fine.

i had this problem after restoring back to stock. had to send it back and they gave me a replacement. didn't have unlocked bootloader though

I am having this same problem with a device I just got. I think I'm going to have to send it back.
