I installed uber and tried to pay with my debit and paypal. Neither would work. I tried lyft and it wouldnt work. I discovered they accepted Android Pay. After trying to add paypal. Google Pay gave me an error that it couldnt add paypal because the phone was rooted or another problem. The phone is indeed rooted. I have SuperSU. a few days ago I uninstalled SuperSU and reinstalled it as "Normal" I don't know if this has anything to do with it, I havn't had any problems using paypal before. I have bought a game on steam using my paypal on my phone. I am using [D66XX]{5.0/5.1/6.0} Flashable stock LP/MM pre-rooted collection & XZ dualrecovery for my phone, I havn't messed with my root in maybe 2 years. I had to dig around in my post history to see what I had. Was I wrong in tapping normal when I reinstalled SuperSU? Is that why Uber and Lyft were able to detect my phone is rooted and if so how can I hide the fact my phone is rooted?

SUPER late reply but I am having the same issue. It lets me add a card on Uber but throws a generic error when I actually go to hail one. I can order an uber on my tablet but can't on my phone. Tablet is bone stock, phone is rooted (not an Xperia but shouldn't matter). I can't use Lyft in my country so I can't confirm with that, but the last time I was in the USA it also didn't work with my phone.

Customer service on both Uber and Lyft have been exceptionally unhelpful, saying my account has been terminated and offering no other explanation.
