unable to unlock screen with patched_boot from August update

I used the flash option to install the August security update. I then uploaded the boot.img from the downloaded August security update and patched it via magisk. Then I installed the patched_boot via CMD from the laptop, and upon rebooting the phone the screen unlock wouldn't respond to my input.

I had no problems doing the same thing you did. Try re-installing.

Works now. Had to use the downloaded link and use that boot file.
