Thanks to the team for your hard work. I've been bricked like this for quite a while ( I swear I was one of the original noobs to get stuck in this situation).
Eagerly awaiting the noob friendly version!!!
THANKS.

If your phone will boot u can still change firmware, just get older hboot firmware put on card to update partitions. Make sense?

There are guides on downgrading for people who want to go from ICS to GB

I thought that it would give some kind of error that there is already a newer version of what I'm trying to flash?? also read somewhere that HBOOT 1.27 isn''t downgradeable... how old of an firmware does it need to be to get to, lets say 1.17 ? and does it have to be names like PG58.zip or something alike? I really hate HTC devices for the extra security and stuff that makes it so complicated to S-OFF and root...

The GNex was so simple :D

to be honest im not sure about downgrading, ive never done it, but im sure people have gone from ICS to gingerbread and to do that you have to downgrade the firmware. best bet is post in This thread you're likely to come across someone who has downgraded or at least tried to... let us know how you get on

He told me that is not possible to repaire
I don't know where you get your information from but after I semi-bricked my phone I asked them what they could do for me, they said that I would have to pay £100 and they would repair it. He also went on to say that they repair any of their phones no matter what the issue if it is on or outside the warranty but charges would occur.

Now that sounds more real

I couldn't understand in the OP if this tool can(or can't) also be used to downgrade the hboots of fully working phones with 1.27.0000 hboot so that they can have the 1.18.0000 hboot and be s-offed..
can someone clarify? :)

erm i guess in theory, this is just a way of using download mode to access the phones EMMC memory and change which hboot is present... only problem with doing it on a fully working phone is its hard to get phone into full download mode to access the memory.
in short, ive not seen anyone try this on a working phone as i guess its risking bricking a perfectly good phone..

Too bad the revolutionary team have given us no information whatsoever if they will, I asked them on twitter about one month ago and received no reply.

That's exactly what happened to me, although I would suggest that you wait for this tool to finish production or wait till revolutionary. You don't want to pay that much and then find out a week later that there is another perfectly working option.....even if this one seems so darn tricky.

There's is a thread on evo3d that does this. Also another proof that it can and does work is robochik from rcmix team. He got his sensation repaired from HTC and they put new hardware and of course latest ics. Dexter help him downgrade hboot and what not by intentionally bricking his phone.
