you definitely don't need to brick it. if i have some time today, i'll try putting mine in download mode and seeing if/how the partition managers detect it as.

I have successfully accessed the /system partition through eMMC mode, have a look here:
And /system/app:
It's writable I think since I could delete some APK files inside it
Still, I have no idea how to reflash/reinject the 'Signed BOOTLOADER' because the last time I killed it; it's still using ENG HBOOT and writesecureflag 3 is something which preventing the device to boot even into the bootloader mode
Come on guys, we're still on it!

Awesome work movzx! Can you perhaps dump the partitions somehow? Or format one (eg /system ) ? Try that.. a bricked devices partitions, may not be much of a help, but the method to dump will be useful on alive devices

if you can find that, thats the boot loader and if its writable then should be sorted!

i'm not able to see any new partitions while the phone is in the download mode tried holding the volume down while it's in the dl and attaching the usb, but no dice.

I don't think he did the wire trick, just held the volume key with no battery in, unless I missreadi'm not able to see any new partitions while the phone is in the download mode

he bricked his, so he's permanently in the dl mode until he sends it off to get fixed lol
movzx, you just hold the volume down and plug the usb cable, and that's it? how long does it take to show up, approx?
you also should focus on the other 2 partitions. the 8xx mb one is just what's accessible from a file manager like es explorer.
btw, did you install the 9008 loader drivers or left the device as unknown?

this volume down thing isn't working for me either,however i didn't try it in download mode...

So I thought of trying it with a windows xp machine..and guess what it worked, I was able to see my phone in Minitool partition wizard..Posting a screenshot.
If it helps here is what I did.
1. Installed the USBFlash_driver.rar
2. Installed minitool partition wizard
3. Plugged my bricked sensation (removed the battery, SD card and sim) and held the volume down button as suggested.
4. Installed the QHUSB drivers for win xp
5. Clicked Reload disk info on minitool
And there it was...

try just plugging it in without holding the volume down. seems like that partition is in the same situation as movzx's.

I just plugged it in without holding the vol button..showed me the same partitions but then got the un mount sound and it was gone...
It gets detected all right..without holding the button..I can see it right now on my screen but if I refresh it will be gone...

no dice. tried under windows xp 64 bit.
on a second thought, was it a 32-bit windows you've tried it on? might be the 64-bit drivers are giving us problems.

can you try this with the battery inside the phone...
i tried several combinations,with download mode and without it...i know we're very close,when i get into download mode i get 3 connect/disconnect sounds and generic volume appears and dissappears within 2 or 3 seconds...
this is with download mode and with battery inside...
Okay so with my bricked phone I put the battery in and connected it... got one connect and two disconnect sounds.
Tried again with battery in and held the vol down button...Got to see the partitions but then it dis mounted.. Two disconnect sounds.
yes please,do it all like before but with battery
