Unbroadcasted WiFi

I keep my wireless network private and I don't broadcast my SSID. But it appears I have to broadcast it so that the G-Tablet can see it and connect to it. Is this a limit with the stock software, or a limit with Android? Do other ROMs like TNT or Vegan have this setting to be able to view a wireless network that isn't broadcasting if the SSID and PSK is known?

I appreciate any input. I don't like the idea of my wireless network broadcasting the SSID just so my G-Tablet can connect to WiFi.

Tried that. The G-Tab immediately lost connection as if WiFi was just turned off.

Yeah, unfortunately you need to broadcast in order to pick up.
It's the same issue with my N1.

You may want to tighten up your wifi security if you live in a condensely populated area.
Set mac address protocols, lock out new devices from accessing and such.

Yeap I had my SSID Private I had to braodcast it and keep it broadcasted or it will disconnect ... I just put a super long PW on the wifi .

Is this a problem with the stock ROM/Kernel or do all the modified gTabs have this issue. I also prefer to not broadcast my SSID.
