Ok, I may be late in the game on this and I did search the forums but never found anything like what I am suggesting here. With DCD's plans of OTA updates for Roms, which is a great plan, I believe we should start a thread with all our favorite cabs linked in it. This way we can all flash his great base Rom and update those things we love quickly. Then once we get a more complied list here we can hopefully get it stickied.

This is a good idea. I do know, however, there is a single post somewhere that has about every conceivable good cab file in it. I will have to find that post later though. I think it was in the diamond's area. I am not quite sure. Most cab files are pretty universal though. ;) But i could see where some stuff would work better on a Titan than others.

Good idea. I'll see if I can find that thread later though.

look into the Gecko project (or sometimes referred to as the Gecoh project). its an app that will have developers submit their apps and app updates to it. basically the same idea as the iphone app store just for windows mobile instead.

and regarding getting this thread going and stickied...good luck. no offense, but there are many threads out there with tons of different cabs that people would consider some of their "favorites." the list is too subjective to compile a real complete list. if you look over at ppcgeeks theres a thread somewhere with something similar to what you are trying to get started, but i think its been disbanded because it just gets to be too much to keep track of. and anyways.. titan forums are losing popularity nowadays anyways. might wanna try posting it in the Q&A or something where people will consistenly be looking, regardless of what phone is just being released.

for the record, i wish there were threads like the one you are suggesting. i think its just too much to really keep track of. i mean theres actually websites that try keep up (www.freewareppc.com, www.freewarepocketpc.net, etc) but even still, i cant find everything i need there (things that get more frequent updates, such as googlemaps)

I synchronize my phone with my [work] laptop, using mNotes. (Bluck...we have to use Lotus Notes for email..what can you do!), and activesync.

Whenever I flash a new rom, I delete the old profile from activesync, but tell it not to delete files. Then, once I get the connection reset up, and turn on files to synchronize , all my usual cabs get copied over to the phone, which I can then run right away.

Also, I keep a copy on my SD card, as well as a separate folder on my desktop for stuff I've tried out but not liked.

Makes life easy, when you don't need to search for stuff every time you flash.
