Unit wont boot into recovery

I cant get my tegra to boot into recovery/fastboot. the device doesnt power on either but when plugged into a computer is recognized as an Android ADB Interface in my device manager on pc. any suggestions or do i consider it a dead horse?

Sometimes my TN7 goes like this, I hold the power button down for around 10s, then try and power it on again.

In my case flashing TWRP through WinDroid helped.
