Well, I think it must be rooted. Because I used Root Explorer and Titanium Backup and so on. And I edited the file in /system/.../.../22/ (Touchscreen)

So if it wouldn´t be rooted, I can not see those file in /system/...

Is that correct?

You may see but without root access you cannot change. Problem is that you did factory restore and I don't know what happened with root and super user apk. Sorry, it was long time ago when I had locked phone and stock rom :)

I think you have after hard reset still root access.
But if I do not have root access, I can download superuser, root explorer etc on the sd card and put it in the phone. Than I can install via mouse and keyboard, or is this impossible?

Happy end :)

If you wish to unlock your phone and enjoy in really great roms and even better new kernel, please be very, very careful with unlocking process. If you make mistake, solution will not be that easy or will not be at all ;)

Well, new roms are great, but then there´s no warranty.

They say, if you root there would be no warranty too, but you can unroot it...so you have warranty again.

Thanks

So I can just copy the "touchpad.cfg" into the right folder on the telephone without cwm?

Another question:

Can I make a complete backup/image without oppened bootloader? If yes, how?

Yes, you can just copy file to the right folder and then change permissions to same as other files in this folder. Actually that could be your problem at first ;)

Ok, it's possible to make backup :)

It is off topic but this thread is not big or frequently visited so few more questions will not harm anyone.

Yes, if you have root you can make a backup of everything except the active parts of the system (/data, /cache etc). adb/android terminal and dd are your friends. This is off-topic here.

There was this one thing called something like "live nandroid backup", they say it works well... Never tried it myself, I just don't trust it.

Does MROM CM7 include this? I often see touchscreen randomly messes up when there I'm sweating & talking. When there is a bit of my sweat is on the screen.

Maybe MROM CM7 doesn't include the Raindrop fix. Am I sure? If Yes, then I'll flash it today! (Just flash it via TWRP & I should be done. Ain't it the process?)

Just check content of the file according my explanation:

Thank you for fix. I looked into files and there is only two differences:

TCHAUTOCAL=75 -> TCHAUTOCAL=0 ;actually fix
NUMTOUCH=2 -> NUMTOUCH=5 ;for 5 multi touch

Basically I can just change TCHAUTOCAL to 0? :)

Edit: Yes, it is enough. Of course, I changed NUMTOUCH to 5. It is enough to modify or copy file from Notorious544d to \system\etc\touchpad\22\ and you're gonna get 5 fingers touch and raindrop fix.

Huge thanks!!!!!!

This is in MROM.

Does MROM CM7 include this? [...]
Yes it does, for anyone else wondering this (as I was; I just checked in my 20130330 version). FWIW, all the /system/etc/touchpad/2{1,2,3}/touchpad.cfg files have:
TCHAUTOCAL=0
NUMTOUCH=5
in MROM. (and yay I finally have a non-dev forum post to give a useful reply; 9 to go...)

Update for these setings in ICSROM...

[and to find reasonably useful ways to get my post count to 10 so I can reply in dev forums]

I updated to ICSROM 1.4.6 today, and after needing to update the kernel to fix deep sleep reboots...my home button wasn't working. Then after tracking down that fix (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=42015956&postcount=985), I found another reference in the AtrICS v2.0 thread for a .zip w/ that and a multitouch update (setting autocal=0 and numtouch=10). Trigger memory recall. So here I am...

In ICSROM, /etc/touchpad/22/touchpad.cfg has:
TCHAUTOCAL=75
NUMTOUCH=2

There aren't other directories (20,21,22) like in GB.

Has the raindrop issue been seen on ICSROM or AtrICS? numtouch=10 seems ridicuous; so does 5, really. Not sure I'll touch (pun intended) it, but I'm thinking I will change the autocal, once I've used the ROM for a few days.

changing it from the phone made touch unresponsive, so it only works when flashed
[...]
I've seen reference to this occurrence before; I think its because the config file has a space character at the end of each line. When I've hacked it w/ ES File Explorer, I always leave the extra character alone, and just change the number, and have never had an issue. Just did it again now, as I finally changed the one running CM9 over to match the other's ICSROM, then remembered the home button and GPS issue fixes, and finally this one. /digress
I miss it, but I love my X '13 more (as does my wife w/ her G LTE).
