unlock bootloader using another device id (H815)

does anyone tried to unlocked their phone using another device-id? as for now; i just updated mine to 20b and my root is gone.. my bootloader is still locked, and i cannot unlocked it for now as my country (singapore), is not yet supported. please help..

I don't know if that will work but you can use LGup to downgrade to Lollipop and have root

actually i was planning to go to that direction; but upon reading, it says it will wipe my data if u go back using LGUP.. is this true? as i still need my internal data and cannot do backup

To unlock the bootloader in any way will very probably force you to make a backup or lose your files as it often rhymes with an automatic factory reset.

No one did this because it will hardbrick your phone.
And can confirm that unlocking wipes your data.

i tried to generate a unlock.bin using my device-id and different imei (an imei from a unlockable international version) and lg checks the numbers in their server and give me an error, and a deadline of 10 incorrect device-id / imei combinations before they lock my developer account.
