[UNLOCK] Full list of LG G4 variants that can be bootloader unlocked

[WTF?]

In order to use LG's bootloader unlock tool, you must have model H815, your phone's country code has to be in Europe region.

Regardless of the silliness you may have read elsewhere, the official LG tool is the ONLY way you can bootloader unlock a G4

look at the photo below, see the GBR country code on the label? - this would be a model variant you can unlock! :good:

also let us know which of the above codes are on the end of your phone's box if you succeeded in using LG's bootloader unlocker - mine was CZE

Important Tip: if you find a phone for sale that you are thinking of buying, and the seller does not have the box, it is not a problem, just have him run the LG Phone Info app from the Play Store and the 3 digit country code will be displayed in the "Provider" field of the output!

@ WTF? How solid is the info on the all the new "carrier specific" codes? has any actually verified all these or is it just supposition based on one or two successful outcomes? I'm thinking of buying another to replace my TWN so I want to be sure that I what I'm buying really can be unlocked. Cheers

it's just a list of all the EUR carriers... and since ALL EU models can be unlocked (including carrier variants) .. should be good to go :good:
just make sure the XXX code is either a EU country or EU carrier.

This makes me nervous. Unless it's been verified we don't actually know that "ALL EU" models can be unlocked.

The LG website says only:
"The following devices will support unlocking the bootloader:
• H815 (G4) for the European market
Unlocking the Bootloader will only be supported on selected devices."

This does not clarify the position on carrier branded models at all.

Yes, they will ALL work on Verizon LTE bands 2 & 4 but lack Verizon LTE band 13

the complete list of H815 bands is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 17, 20, 28
