171 firmware is now pushing to handsets via OTA.. I have the 171 firmware on my LYA-L09 phone flashed from Funky Huawei. Safety net and Google pay still not working on that firmware and works on the official OTAs... How's that work?? I thought once the firmware is officially rolled out Google has signed off on it. Is this a beta firmware or not? Is there another "official" 171 firmware somewhere?

I think we might need to wait until 171 is pushed to the relevant countries. I live in the UK, u?

That'll be months. I'm Optus carrier single SIM and from Australia. If only we could downgrade.
Hm... Agree that might a few weeks - not months. You still have a higher sw version than everyone else, so enjoy! :) Once 171 is rolling out in your region, gpay will be working again.

@duraaraa when can I expect bootloader code provided for the order purchase on Jan 17th. I see that funkyhuawei is no longer taking new orders or service might be unavaiable. I bought a unlimited pass for 135$, now i see is was discounted to 100$. Without getting bootloader code am unable to utilize any service.

This is the official FunkyHuawei support thread for the Mate 20 Pro.
The below applies to both the Mate 20 and the Mate 20 Pro.
(...)

Rebrand:
Rebranding is not currently planned to be offered. Neither is single sim to dual sim conversion. This may change in the future.
(...)

Root:
The methods which are not public are available to those who want to test them, by contacting FunkyHuawei support by email.

We will update this thread with any changes.
@duraaraa

@duraaraa

On Huawei Mate 20 Pro LYA-L29, I'm eager to test :
- your erecovery soft rebrand from C652 to C636/432
- your Mate20pro's private root

I'm free to test, review and/or share remote desktop access @ any time :) !
I would be happy to help.

I currently already managed myself to get rid off most demo retrictions :
I got back oem-frp unlock switch, no demo apps shown, lockscreen & magazine unlock, unlock by code/scheme/fingerprints, stock call recording, custom screen time out & vpn.

I purhcased my M20pro used, and the model number is LYA-AL10. I *think* this is the Chinese branded version. Either ways, there is no "OEM unlock option" available, it just does not EXIST in the settings menu. Does this mean that my phone can be unlocked?
