Keep the power button pressed and quickly select "Turn on Airplane Mode" - This should stop the error messages and let you interact with the phone.

Use the "Network" App from the Play Store to change your phone into GSM mode. It will keep giving you an error until you get from CDMA - > GSM mode.

You can also try resetting the phone completely using recovery mode - that helps sometimes get rid of the message. Resetting the phone will not reset build.prop.
It's steel the same.

Your fix won't work. Here's what you have to do:

1. Root the phone.
2. Download an SQ editor.
3. Browse to Settings Storage (com.android.providers.settings - i think)
4. Open the Settings.db
5. Seach for "Assist".
6. Edit all instances of "assist dial" to 0.
7. Save and reboot

In regards to wifi calling, that is a T-Mobile proprietary software function and does not exist on Sprint phones

Wifi calling exist on Sprint phones..especially this one. why? i used it while one Sprint before i rooted my phone and having it unlocked for t-mobile.

SQ editor is just going to do the same thing as number fixer.

It needs a T-Mo ROM with T-Mo Wifi calling.

The SQ method is easier, doesn't involve editing all your numbers, and that method didn't work the first couple times i tried it

Darn...i don't think t-mobile roms would work for our phones. :(:(:(

This is incorrect. We do not have bootloader unlock for the G3 and hence unable to flash any roms right now. The G2 is a different story.

There are ROMs that have Sprint support. Could always just try one too. Worst case scenario, it doesn't boot and you nandroid back. Won't hard brick anything as long as you don't flash a T-Mo bootloader etc.

Did this ever work out for you?

If not try changing SPR to att in the build.prop and see if that works. Essentially that makes your G3 think its an AT&T variant of the G3 and it changes the menu items and such. I was able to unlock the device using this as well but spr worked best for me but that's because I'm still on Sprint.

Problem Switching to GSM Mode

I'm having trouble trying to switch to GSM mode, with "Network" app; I receive the message: "This applications does not work on this device"
And if I go to Settings>More>, the Mobile Networks options is faded or gray out.

Sprint LG G3 does not have have T-Mobile or AT&T LTE support .They only have LTE bands for sprint's networks.

On T-Mobile you will only get Edge speeds which you seem to be getting. On AT&T you will get HSPA+ speeds which are reasonable but nowhere close to LTE.

You will get T-Mobile LTE support if you get a Verizon LG G3 or T-Mobile G3

After trying several times without success, I tried changing from 7 to 12 and it worked. Some numbers have ( ) in the area code and were not being included.

In addition... to change the icons of the statusbar can be used Tweakbox G3. Works great.

Dialer crash fix

Works! I get an error dialing out though. I have to add a "1" before the number to call out. Any workaround other than adding a 1?
Credit jsergio123 for this:D Works like a charm

"*To fix the issue of the com.android.phone process crashing when you don't dial a 1 in front of the number edit the /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db file with a SQLlite editor and change in the "system" table "assist_dial" and "assist_dial_init_db_check" to "0". If you don't see those 2 rows then you can add them. Fix permissions, wipe cache and reboot."
