Hi All:

I'm a long-time Treo 600 owner, and I've tried to wring every last bit and pixel from it, but its time has finally come!

I just picked up a Treo 650 and a Treo 750, both are USA models, both are Cingular branded, and both are locked.

I'm no longer a Cingular/ATT customer, but am on Tmobile now. The former owner, who is a current ATT customer, called them and got an unlock code for the 750, but it didn't work.

We spent hours on the phone with various ATT people, with no luck.

I've since spent hours reading through this and other forums, trying to find an unlock solution, but I'm more confused than ever!

Could someone please give me the simplified version of how to unlock the 750?

If it's already been posted here, I apologize. But I have been reading and reading, and have only come up with more new terms than I've ever seen!

Thanks in advance!

Unlock

I haven't yet tried the Cheetah unlocker.

I'm not sure if I have what I need. I have Win XP, and .Net Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1, which I think should work.

What I don't have is ActiveSync working. I thought that ActiveSync was wireless, but I just read that it works with the USB cable.

Unfortunately, I don't have a USB cable! (I just bought the phone, used, and it only came with an AC charger, and nothing else.)

I'm now downloading Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5. I don't know if there's anything else I'll need?

I was going to use the MAGIC_UNLOCKER.zip, program (Herm_Unlock_v3.exe), so I just went out and bought a mini-SD card, and SD adapter so I can use it with my computer. Then I got back and re-read the post, and found that this program was not the correct one for my Treo750!

get usb cable. you need active sync. run un locker. if you get stuck when step 3 comes up then the unlocker didnt work. go into your c drive. the file that says tempche you want to delete it. then run unloccker again. this worked for me.

Off to find a sync cable!

Well, I guess I'm off to find a sync cable!

I've got a friend with a Treo 650, so I'm going to go borrow that one!

I'll let you know how I do!
