Wow! This is really huge! Thanks and congratulations!!

Maybe it can help to another devices like g6 variants or this job needs to be started from the beginning in that case?

Enjoy it!!

Whoops. I guess the wrong file was uploaded. I wonder if we are out of luck for this weekend.
I hope that this problem will be fixed. I read that this rom is for all G4 models. I made a backup with TWRP BEFORE flashing, I tried to backup and my device stays with the LG logo and the Secure boot failed message. I don't know what to do now...

Anyone have issues getting fastboot to install twrp? when i enter the fastboot flash command it just says waiting for devices and doesnt do anything. fastboot devices shows a device there so it is seeing my device.

Edit: Fixed by calling sudo fastboot flash recovery. in case anyone else is having the issue

Also didn't work :( . Another issue that I've come across is that APN settings cannot be changed on VS986 for the Nougat roms that I've downloaded from your server. I think from what I could find on Google, that it has to do with the fact that the roms weren't built for CDMA phones (I had to delete the Assert line in updater-script to install the roms) so the configs to change APN's on CDMA phones haven't been set properly. This is a big problem because the MMS settings aren't configured properly for the Verizon APN so we are unable to receive texts on the device.
I just realized that phone calls aren't working at all either. Didn't notice initially because LTE was connected and working. I'm not sure at this point if this is a modem issue or a rom APN issue.

I could follow all the steps, but I'm stuck at the part where it says "flash TWRP" how do I flash TWRP?
I read the entire post several times and all the comments before commenting.
is it with LGUP on windows?
thanks a LOT for this tool BTW you're a god
edit: neeeevermind. done it. will leave the method I used below if there's idiots like me stuck in here. I took it from a guide from technobuzz but I can't post links so I copied it and modified it for this method

Step 1. To run the ADB commands on your PC you need to install the ADB and fastboot drivers on your windows(google it). Install and Setup ADB drivers from here and you will see the ADB folder on your C:/ Drive.

Step 2. download the TWRP recovery steadfasterX provided on page 1 and move it in the ADB folder that you created on the step 1.

Step 3. connect your phone to the PC with USB cable.

Step 4. open the ADB folder in C Drive. The same folder that you created in Step 1. and here open the command prompt window by holding the Shift Key and doing a Right Click. Then select ‘Open command window here’.

Step 5. In the command prompt window type adb reboot bootloader and hit enter. Your phone will now reboot into the fastboot mode.

Step 6. type fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.2.1-PREVIEW-103_g4_N.img and hit enter. This command will flash the recovery on your phone.

Step 7. Once completed, take out battery, put battery back in, press volume down AND the power button and keep both pressed until.. you see TWRP!

That’s it! Now the TWRP recovery is installed on your LG G4.

Do NOT try to do it with the h815 way. I believe it will not work now anyway because UsU will kinow it is an h818 and not even try to unlock it due to the touchscreen error. What is your ARB? I also believe that you may have problems because you installed the v29 ROM. I believe that will put your device out of any hope because v29 ROMs are known to blow some fuses if the boot loader from v29 is installed. You may be out of luck in using UsU. steadfasterX will know best.

ARB is Anti_Rollback and is a state of fuse blowing of your device. LG and the carriers implemented this method to disallow any return to a lower version ROM. You really need to read and understand the first post of this thread before doing anything.

You should not try to return to MM yet because I believe it will not work with your device. Also you want to stay with Nougat, wait and consult with steadfasterX before doing anything.

Hi guys, i have a H815P

SALT says that my phone is unlocked but he said:

-BASIC STEPS ARE:
- FLASH TWRP
-flash usu baseband
-flash custom rom

So, now i need to power off the phone and power on, copy the usu file baseband into my phone, go back into fastboot and flash twrp, flash usuband, right?

Mostly correct. The first thing you do is flash TWRP in fastboot. Then restart by pulling the battery and then using the right key/power sequences to reboot into TWRP. Then flash usu baseband using TWRP flashing. Then you are set.
