I use to be a RC... that is until samsung started locking thier stuff down. I'm hoping that what the lady said was right.. if not then I might go with the zx2, only issue is it doesnt have 4k @60fps. Irritates me they turned off 4k hdr on the s9

Yep i remember all your camera mods back awhile ago.

And yes exynos will not work on cdma these days like in the past say with the S6 etc

Idk... im thinking of jumping to the xperia xz2.. i mean the camera is a little better 1080 at 960fps but the only thing i dont like is that it doesnt have 60fps recording at 4k

It has no CDMA bands so it will not work on Verizon.

Yes it will technically work on vzw, just only on the lte bands which means always using volte and not having service where there is no 4g (which imo is fine if you keep your old phone around as a backup). Totally doable if you're a city dweller like myself.

There is an important wrinkle that could be a deal breaker though, vzw only allows Whitelisted phones on their network, so if the exynos s9 imei block isn't Whitelisted yet (likely not add its so new) you will have to contact them and get it Whitelisted. I don't imagine it would be an issue as they have done it for older exynos models, but they could always say no so it would be a good idea to ask (nicely) first.
