Hey Guys,
I have a Note 10+ Unlocked that I installed the ATT Firmware unto in mid September. I decided to do a factory reset to troubleshoot a software issue I was dealing with, and during the reset the Wifi calling repeatedly failed to initialize, giving me an error along the lines of the feature not being enabled on my account. after calling ATT about it I was told that its because I have an outside phone and they could not help. Is there a work around to get the ATT features to start working again? I have tried flashing my phone back to the unlocked firmware and then to ATT again, but that did not work so I'm definitely stumped now!

I had the same issue, I took my wife's AT&T sim that was provisioned for wifi calling and all the other features and swapped with her for about five minutes. Did the trick for me

Hey Guys, thanks for the responses!

I got my phone through Samsung's upgrade/Finance program, so going international wouldn't be feasible for me (and I understand rooting breaks Knox, which I need for work).

I did indeed utilize the ATT user data and my model number showed as the carrier variant, which confused the ATT rep lol

So I saw a similar comment to Techgoon's on the forum, and threw my sim card into an old Lumia 950, and I immediately got a message on the 950 that call protect was enabled. I put my sim card back in the note 10 and got backthe ATT locked features, so wifi calling and call protect enabled with no issue afterwards. One thing that I noticed is that I do not have a VOLTE option under carrier connectivity settings, though under my sim card information it does show I have LTE voice so I guess that's all that matters.

I do have one lingering question if anyone can help, my software version is that of the firmware posted in august, so my last security patch is July. OTA Update check claims I'm up to date, is there a way to push for the latest firmware, or is this kind of another quirk of having the Odin installed firmware?

Edit - right after posting this I received a notification that ATT Mobile Security and Call protect were removed from my account! LTE still shows under my sim information, but the IMS registration status now says "Not Registered" . It appears as though I still have wifi calling and VOLTE, but I wonder how long till I have to swap my sim around again -.-.

This whole situation makes no sense to me, I had a Pixel 3, and a Sony XZ, neither ATT phones but both worked fully with all of ATT features, so why is it that Samsung gets black listed if its not the ATT version?

In my own experiences with ATT, they are terrible when it comes to getting certain carrier features to work.
First, the phone has to be an original ATT branded one with its IMEI registered in the ATT network.
Second, you can't use the unbranded "U1" firmware (unless you flash the "U" userdata), while some features will work, VoLTE in particular will be disabled.
Third, ATT prepaid does not support VoLTE at least up until now, not even if you have the first two prerequisites fulfilled.
So, they suck in the carrier feature department, and also their data speeds are about half of the Tmobile's.
Speaking of Tmobile, even with the unbranded "U1" firmware, everything seems to work perfectly.
Just my 2cents. ;)
