Heads up, folks who haven't been able to activate on Verizon: I just entered my IMEI on the VZW website, and it finally accepted it.

The device is listed as a "HTC U." ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My imei was also accepted by Verizon's system, but when I plug in the sim card and power on the phone there is still no connection. Did it end up working for you?

Yeah, I activated online (with the U11 turned off) and then put in the SIM, which had been in my old M8, and turned it on. To be honest, when I first tried a call it didn't go through, so I simply turned it off again, took out the SIM and reinserted it, then restarted the U11. It then started working.

First things first, you followed through on the website til you got to the screen I put screenshot of?

I went in store everything looked good, but the signal bars are crossed out and 4g data would work on and off when powered on

Yeah, but the folks who are having trouble are those of us coming from older phones that don't have Advanced Calling as a feature. You need that activated on the SIM to get the U11 to do calls since it's an LTE only phone.

At least in store they can't give you the bogus line about how "Verizon doesn't support this device" anymore.

Are you in a good signal area for VZW? The big drawback of this phone is it's 4G or nothing. No 3g or 1x to fall back on.

Ok so it's super easy to get it going just activate hd calling from your old phone install the Sim back into the u11 and everything works !
I activated hd calling on my verizon and then put the sim in and it still didn't work unfortunately. If I add the IMEI while logged in, in the manage devices section it will accept the IMEI, but it still won't work. What's weird is if I enter the IMEI on vzw com /byod it says that it can't be activated on Verizon.

Maybe your sim is too old, get a new sim from vzw... I'm sure it varies from carriers, but I've been told many times a sim I was trying to use was not compatible with a newer device.

Verizon activated HD voice for me last night and I started making/receiving calls for the first time in a week, then about 2 hours later I stopped receiving text messages, any I send I've confirmed and are being received. Verizon support has been useless so far and I popped my SIM back into my HTC one M8 and received all my back logged texts from the last 12 hours, unbelievable. Any help is appreciated.

The culprit for not receiving texts is the “CDMA-LESS Provisioning” they put on your account. Went back to my 10 and still no texts until I had them remove that.

The results of all my efforts that ended with a chat with HTC:View attachment 4181943
Any update from HTC? I'm back on my 10 for now until they straighten this **** out.

Verizon started selling an LTE only LG flip phone today. It supports Wi-Fi calling though. If we could just get that to work.

I have been trying to get this phone working for four days. First... I have a larger SIM card form my HTC ONE m7... so it doesn't fit.

Went to VZW store and they couldn't get it to connect to the network with a nanoSIM.

Went to another VZW store and they told me they could do it, but they needed to change my plan to a non-grandfathered plan. Umm, no. He said tech support could do it without changing my plan.

Called tech support. This isn't a huge issue, she says... She will just mail me a new sim card, pop it in and be on my way. Overnight sim card ($12 shipping fee, whatever).

Sim card shows up.

HAHA! Ummm, no luck. VZW web BYOD says Congrats your (IMEI) phone works with our network.

Type in SIM card number... Sorry this isn't compatible with your phone/network blah blah blah.

Call VZW support, wonderful person, but after 45 minutes... no luck. Even tried to 'attach' in thei VZW system the sim card to my m7, and it worked. Transfer over to the U11, nothing. Blah!

Call HTC Support. They take all the information they need to launch a nuclear missle, or two, and say give it 48 hours for VZW to get me up and running.

Nothing. Though it's been 29 hours. I highly doubt VZW cares enough to send the very best on a Saturday.

It's frustrating. Though I am enjoying surfing the web via WiFi. Slippery little phone, even with the supplied case. I might need to put some rubber tacky strips on the side or something. I'm a huge fan of the silicone cases, but.... will wait to see if i am keeping the phone before i invest any more than my $12 SIM overnight ship charge... and the $660 phone charge (599+tax etc....)

Anyone have luck in a similar situation by waiting things out?

Did you ever get this sorted where Verizon registered your IMEI in their database?

How long did it take after you relayed all the info from your unlocked U11 to them?
