So if we purchase a device that is already on the latest update, is there already a safe procedure to flash the unlocked bootloader?
It seems verified that we have the ability to go from unlocked to locked to unlocked, but I just wanted to verify if we already have the ability to go from locked on the latest update to unlocked.
Sometimes Adam's directions seem almost too simple to be true, lol.

Yes. There should be no way to keep a Verizon Galaxy Note 2 from reverting back to the Baseline we set for the exploit. Even a new one. You flash our baseline, then perform the exploit.

Adam,

Pit and baseline in Odin first, then casual. That it? Or do I do the first steps I listed, then start at the casual section of your other OP?

Sorry to be a pain. Getting mixed answers (not from you) about what to do here.

I keep failing in your instruction
re-partition seems to do nothing and the bootloader baseline fails to successfully flash. I recieved this phone yesterday it and it was updated before i received it from the vendor. cant boot unless i odin a stock image. all attempts to unlock the bootloader have ended in failure.

Hehe. Excited to be here. Need to root and unlock. Was about to do it all last night, but a couple were having issues. I'm going to see what happens to them. I've got everything downloaded on my computer. They installed the OTA to me in store before I even knew there was an OTA.

I warned folks. Maybe its a case of misunderstanding but if not...can't say I didn't warn everyone. I even told Kellex @ droid-life so that people could be made aware of possible ramifications.
That's why I'm stock still. I've read of three people trying it and they all seem stuck at the same spot. Damn you, verizon. I'm sure Adam will figure it out.

So if you buy a note 2 that has the update they have successfully locked the device ?
