Unlocking Stock 4.2 Features

So i was studying the apk's of The XXUFMB3.
This is what i've found:

Ink Effect:
To start with, the Settings apk has ink effect drawables, strings and smali's present for ink effect.
Framework-res.apk has a trigger in bools.xml to enable and disable ink effect which is on "false" as of the moment. Changing it to true makes no effect.
Android.policy.jar has no smali related to the ink effect.

Multi Instance
Framework-res.apk has a trigger in bools.xml to enable and disable multi instance in multiwindow which is on "false" as of the moment. Haven't yet tested changing it to true.

Torch In Lockscreen
Okay, this isn't like the torch in lockscreen we know.
But Settings.apk contains a string for "Torchlight Settings".
The description is as follows: "Enable to turn on Torchlight when long press volume up key while LCD is idle"

Smart Scroll and Air Gesture
Seen in strings of SecSettings.apk. Not sure what they do, but they could possibly be new features.


Are these features that are going to be with the official firmware or can they be modded and added on the leaked firmware?

..................the lock screen was actually the reason why I went back to 4.1.....I was missing app.shortcuts ,weather atc....

Two finger swipe down the notifications and long press on Smart Stay. Smart Scroll is in there. Dont think it works though.

It could be, but we don't know the codes..
Probably we'll just have to wait for the Note 2 to get 4.2.1 so we can start porting.

I'm fairly certain that most, if not all, these features will eventually come with the stock firmware. If not, as you said, someone will port it! Thanks for the research though! Good to have a sneak preview into what's coming!
