Unlocking the Bootloader

So, it's 2016. My friend still has a Note 2, with a locked bootloader.
I tried following the guides, but there was one, massive, critical issue...

All the download links are broken.
That's right. The instructions technically still work, there's just no way to get the files.

So, I turn to XDA! Does anyone still have the files, preferably on a mirror? That d-h.st site is, quite literally, cancer.

What firmware do you have? If you have anything above MJ9 firmware, the bootloader is permanent locked as an unlock method to firmware above those has never been found. Basically, if it is running anything above Android 4.3, you cannot be rooted. If your friend is still on 4.1 however, I could help out. I still have everything to unlock the VRALJB firmware as well as install custom recovery. Let me know what you have and I can see if I can help you out on what I have.
