If you flashed a TA backup image taken from another phone into yours, I'm afraid you've turned it into a paperweight. I don't know any ways to bring it back to service by software means. I guess you'd have to replace its motherboard now. Sorry!I do have a backup of ta.img but i flashed the wrong one and now its stuck in flashmode, Pc detects it as S1 Service, any way to flashed that old image backup, info :- my phone cannot boot, no fastboot available, stuck in flashmode, and a primitive flashmode to be precise (because flashtool says drivers are old when connected, but drivers are ok when i connect another xperia)
I think you shouldn't have changed anything in the TA image file taken from your phone. The system would interpret as if it was not from your phone. Anyway, good luck!I haven't flashed another devices ta.img, i just modified lines where details to devices info like some ID's, it was like unknown and date of manufacturing, well i'm searching topics for converting ta.img to a flashable sin file set, for flashing through EDL mode,
dd if=/dev/block/platform/soc/id84000.ufshc/by_name/TA of=..../TA.img
Great that you made a new one, may keep others from uneccesary bricking their devices
A thing for the FAQ would be the softbrick when restoring on other than stock and and that it only works on totally stock, not bringing DRM keys to other ROMs when unlocked.

ok another update....somehow i managed to go past usb debugging screen. removed the sony pc companion....installed sony z ultra ADB drivers, reconnected the device and started backup TA. it took a successful backup. then I tried to test the back using the option restore -dry run. but after running that function i came up with this error. now what is this? should i ignore this error?

Backup-TA for Sony Xperia Z / ZL
Backup-TA can backup and restore the TA partition of the device. When you create a backup before unlocking for the first time, then you will be able to restore to full factory state. This means all DRM keys intact, Bravia Engine working in Album and last but not least your warranty when needed :highfive:.
