One thing I just noticed, you say you installed 23/06/19 A3 version but your signoff in your messages says SM-A510F. Do you have both an A3 and an A5 or are you just posting in the wrong thread? Or did you somehow flash the wrong version to your A5?

When you say "it works 2 days ago" is that on stock firmware?
Can you reboot your phone a couple of times and then dump the /proc/last_kmsg file (I think some people have used TWRP for this).

yeah I saw that already and removed my signature statement. Actually I do own an A5 (2016), my wife owns an A3 (2016) where I put LOS 15.1 on.
And yes the proximity sensor worked with the stock ROM.

Now I dumped the last_kmsg file: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1gCovdD4erGvfeLbcybmiJgH297N_VBOB?usp=sharing

But I don't know what I should look for.
There are Errors but they don't seem to relate to the Proximity sensor.

Well maybe I've to go back to stock rom next weekend to double check that proximity is working.

14.07.2019: Okay, today I went back back to stock ROM. The proximity did not work neither.
Seems that the sensor is brocken

A few days back I installed the last release 20190709 over the previous one with WIPE Dalvik/Cache..
The phone became generally slow and laggy and with worse battery life.
Today I decided to revert back to 20190623. Installed it over with WIPE Dalvik/Cache... and I couldn't unlock the phone
I use stock lock screen, lock pattern and the phone accepts the pattern, goes to black screen and a few moments after resets the lock screen.
I was able to turn on the camera from the lock screen but everything else failed.
Seems exactly like the problem @Gunnlaug had..
Restart of the phone doesn't help. Reinstalling 20190623 didn't help either..
I performed clean install of 20190623 and it works as before...
Anyone else having performance issues with the last build? Or something went wrong because of the dirty install?

You can port Sailfish OS to the A3 if you are sufficiently skilled.

Hui! No idea! I would try to boot recovery or system. If both fails, i would flash pit file.

You need to remove the hidden.img partition from the archive. (You should be able to do this in 7zip if you remove .md5 from the firmware image name)

Are you sure it actually failed?

You will need to boot into Samsung recovery and wipe data and cache before you can boot.
