Is there any way to elimanate the soft buttons from the launcher ...wifi only models ,seems like they should be on the bottom and not the sides

The reason I ask is because I was on v2.3.3.0 on my Nexus 10, tried v2.4 and had strange issues which they stated can't be from the new version. Later, others were having problems also like backup/restore problems and stuck in boot loops. Then v2.4.1.0 was released, I haven't tried it but others are having the same problems with it as before. I can't remember what version I had on JellyStreak.

i ran a multitude of different sound mods and was unable to get them to flash(status 0) or fc's after reboot.
I use my streak in my car as sort of a big screen head so trying to find somehting for best possible sound output(through the oem dell home dock mounted in the dash with 3.5 jack as aux input into my car stereo)
I did use the Pimp My Rom alpha app, set up a bunch of init.d scripts and changed some lmk values and oom groupings. I am having almost no lag anymore, the thing is running very smoothly!
also, used Rom Toolbox Lite to set google dns and and browser rendering seems to have improved a bit. When my streek is in the car, it's tethered to my gnex, which i also use the google dns so all in all pretty good
pandora started, played for about a minute, and then locked up the device, had to do a pin push reset, havn't tried again since a fresh install with the PMR tweaks
google now doesn't work. It loads the initial "yes i'm in" welcome setup, but then closes once it begins to load cards. anytime you try to use a search function after, it opens, loads the current conditions image at the top, shows some cards for a second or two, then closes again. no fc message, just wont stay open
have run a live wallpaper for a few hours and didnt bog down the system at all. slight lags from time to time, but i use ES Task Manager widget to kill everything whenever i get to my homescreen between tasks, i'm pretty sure this is not optimal, but it works alright.
looking forward to gps! is the streak7 able to use gps and a maps app without a live internet connection? and if so, can anyone suggest a good navigation app to use?
there's enough storage on here i wouldn't mind in the slightest downloading a database of the maps. any pointers greatly appreciated

CoPilot GPS is what I use for offline GPS.
One if the main things I want to work on is DRM so Netflix will work for people.

Although backup/restore wasn't my issue on the Nexus 10, you must have done a better job as a backup/restore worked perfectly. :good:
