I tried to write a post on the open source project thread, and was told I couldn't.

Basically just wanted to say thank you to ccxxx and govern for their collaboration and sharing of work.

I flashed the 8/25 build today and am loving the switch to an aokp base. Lots more tab friendly customization and its been fun playing with what feels like a new tablet.

Been testing some scripts and tweaks. Will report back if I find a good combination for a performance enhancement.

Also, big thanks for working through that peckerhead hating on your efforts.... Don't let an ungrateful guy like that slow ya down.

I noticed after flashing the build by ccxxx that the kernel still shows the same title as previous builds from Giveen.

... I thought there had been an upgrade to a newer kernel version. Is it included in ccxxx's 8/25 build?

Also wanted to point out that I have flashed a script called Operation Killjoy(formerly known as DirectInject) which introduces entropy and a "boost" command via terminal which frees lost ram.

Greatly benefits overall performance quite a bit, reduces lag for sure. Also not experiencing crashes of the keyboard. I'll post the link to the operationKilljoy thread later

ccxxx's kernel is mine.

As of right now, the sensors work on his build, and I'm trying to figure out why. Waiting to see if he forgot to commit something or I need to redownload my source.

As far as I know only https://github.com/ChristophHaag/an...mmit/24c4b5215e352261e6c75a43a6963b26d18e1581 might be missing but it shouldn't change anything I would presume.

There was giveen/android-tegra-nv-3.1.10-rel-15r7 but it didn't even compile. I just directly use https://github.com/giveen/kernel_dell_streak7 right now

It was a hassle so I changed to using https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.apps.memory.manager that only changes android's own values and does nothing else (as I understand it).
I use the "extreme" preset for dat buttery smooth performance but it causes recent apps to be killed quite quickly.
In the rom control settings in general ui there's also a way to enable a "kill all button" in the recent apps that kills all recent apps and enabling "hardware back to kill" is a way to kill the current foreground app with a long press on back. These are nice for this device that has some problems with the auto killer.

Too early, I didn't do anything substantial yet. :)

I can recommend in the rom settings in general ui setting ui mode to tablet for the notification bar being merged with a navigation bar at the bottom and then in the notification bar settings (still in rom control) adding a button for "last app". Makes multi tasking often a bit quicker. And the navigation bar is good for me anyway because a long press on the dedicated home button doesn't send a keycode at all currently.

Hi

I've flashed onto DS7 3G-WiFI and the 3G module don't work... any ideas?

For Giveen
Hi Giveen, i ask you to
- add relase date near Beta X in the first post, and
- add in the first post, the procedure to reverse DS7 to Original Honeycomb Version

You just want to get chewed out by the Dev don't you?
I'll just tell you this, the ds7 is in low priority for the devs, and if you want to reverse back to stock there are some tutorials in the development section of the ds7. Just look for it!

Before I forget to mention Android 4.4 kitkat has been announced by Google that it is going to work on older devices that are stuck on an older version of Android! So cheer up cuz we might see kitkat on the ds7!

I'm debating KitKat to be honest. If it truly runs well on 512mb of RAM, I might throw a ROM together.
I would love to see that claim proven on this old device. Plus super excited they're finally starting to have open voice activation. Made no sense to me to have to hit a button to ask a question, I wanted it to be hands free forever. Now I need to find out how to change the key word to "Jarvis"...

If it will have no video drivers for nvidia like it was in jb - it is useless, coz you can't even use navigation on it, it stutters too much, not saying the 3d games do not run at all or with awful bugs and very slow.
